Free chair 3D models for three.js (GLB, CC BY and CC0)
24 free chairs for three.js from the 1,108 in the paprika3d asset library (CC BY and CC0), as meshopt GLB files: each with its author, license, credit line, triangles and file size, and the asset_search call that fetches it.
What the library holds
The paprika3d asset library holds 1,108 chairs among its 57,732 models. 1,105 of them are licensed CC BY 4.0, which asks you to credit the author wherever you use the model, and 3 are CC0, which asks nothing. 5 are AI-generated, from Scenario's 3D Collection, and say so on their card.
992 of the 1,108 pass the library's quality checks: textured (or drawn in vertex colours, for a low-poly or voxel model), not flat, at most 15 MB, with a name, a description and a real-world height. Among those, the median model has 6,590 triangles, with the middle half between 1,870 and 23,700, and the median file is 0.27 MB, with nine in ten at most 0.9 MB. The median one stands 0.9 m tall at real size. 3 carry a texture of 2048 px, the library's largest; the rest are smaller. 12 are animated and 3 rigged. The most common styles are realistic (654), stylized (143) and low-poly (131).
Chairs in a three.js scene
Chairs here are mostly realistic (654 of the 992 that pass) and each is sized to the real thing, 0.9 m tall at the median, so a chair placed beside a table by another author lines up with no rescaling. Around a table, set each chair's position on a circle or along the edges and turn it with lookAt() toward the table's centre, adding Math.PI to its turn if it then faces away: authors disagree on which way a seat faces.
A dining hall with many identical chairs suits an InstancedMesh per chair mesh, which keeps draw calls flat as seats are added. A realistic chair can be dense for its size (the upper quartile here starts at 23,700 triangles). If a scene stutters when chairs move or animate, make sure the model is loaded once and cloned, never reloaded, and measure with perf. For a seated character, put an empty Object3D at seat height as the sit point; for physics, a box collider is enough.
Fetch one and load it
With the paprika3d plugin in Claude Code, or its MCP server in any other agent, the agent searches the library in words or picks a model by the id on its card. pick downloads the file into the project's assets/ folder (public/assets/ under vite), adds the credit line to assets/CREDITS.md and answers with the code that loads it at real size. Give cwd, the project folder, as with every paprika3d tool.

Every file is a binary glTF (.glb) compressed with meshopt, so GLTFLoader needs the meshopt decoder that ships with three.js. The origin sits at the bottom centre of each model, so it stands on the floor where you place it:

24 chairs to start from
Chosen from the 992 that pass the checks: the ones agents picked most through asset_search first, then the ones whose name says what they are, then lighter files, with at most 2 per author. Each CC BY card ends with its credit line: paste it into your credits, as the license requires.
